On March 11, 2015, in New Orleans Louisiana, St. Louis Cemetery No. 1, Alley No. 9, dozens of people gathered to celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Louis Charles Roudanez. On that day, the 125th anniversary of his death, a ceremony was held to dedicate an historic grave marker for Dr. Louis Charles Roudanez. During the ceremony, Mark Charles Roudané, descendent of Dr. LCR Roudanez, speaks; Givonna Joseph, founder of Opera Creole, sings; and Father Anthony Rigoli blesses the tomb. Following the dedication of the grave marker, a Memorial Forum was held in which several scholars and descendents spoke about Dr. Roudanez’s legacy.
